Odu ifa for Omo Oduduwa_Omo Oyotunji

Ofun Obara. This is an odu that speaks of status. What is our position as offsprings of Oyotunji in Oyotunji and the world? where do we stand? Are we capable of maintaining the leadership positions we have been given by our elders? Ifa says we are responsible for our personal and communal reputation. Ofun Obara is an odu that speaks of the image, how are we portraying ourselves in the world as administrators of Oduduwa and Oyotunji. Ifa says we must be careful of thinking of ourselves and not looking at the bigger picture which is working together to ensure the survival of our culture, traditions, and science. Ifa says we must take good care of our Ori (head), we must avoid making decisions on impulse, and we should never allow our tempers and emotions to spoil our progress. We must understand that as leaders we are being guided by forces higher than us, we should never allow our egos to get so swollen that we destroy everything our elders established for us. Ifa says we must always show gratitude to our ancestors and elders and we must be humble and patient. Ifa says here that we need to watch our tongues, we need to stop slandering each other but use our tongues to uplift each other by speaking the truth. Ifa says our youth are watching us, and we need to show them what being mature is all about. Ifa foresees blessings of financial success and stability, this Odu says we must honor Orisa Aje for our economic growth and development. Ifa says Obatala brings the Ire for us, and it is Obatala we need to honor more to redeem our good image.

Ire Ika Osa. This Odu speaks of strengthening our Ori (head) when this Odu is cast whether it's ire or osobo the person needs to appease their Ori because it is weak. We need to understand that medicine is not only in the herbs or animals the medicine is also in how we govern ourselves spiritually, mentally, and physically. Medicine is also in how we think and how we pray. What are we praying for? In this Odu is speaks of the importance of not being lonely. So, Ifa message to us is that we can no longer do things alone we have to work together and know what we are working towards. This Odu was divined for a husband and wife who was told to make ebo so that they will prosper and grow old together, Orunmila advised them through Ifa to not divorce no matter how hard and tough things got, they made the ebo and they lived a long life together. So, as you can see as Omo Oduduwa Oyotunji we cannot do the work alone we will not survive if we do, self-examination is good, but it comes a time when we have to examine ourselves as a whole. WHAT ARE WE DOING AS A UNIT?

Osobo Otura Ogbe. Ifa says we stand the chance of losing everything if we let the swollen ego get in the way. Ifa says we must establish who is the leader and who are the followers. We are living in a world where everyone is king and queen of themselves, this Odu in osobo speaks of selfishness, greed, and lack of discipline. Ifa says we are into ourselves to much and because of this we lack the will to make the necessary sacrifices that are needed (I'm not talking about blood sacrifice). This Odu says there is a lack of communication and understanding amongst the leaders. Ifa says we must mature. We as leaders are servants to something much higher than our titles and so the leaders are followers as well. This odu also says if we do not communicate how are we expecting to progress? Otura Ori Ire. Meaning Otura head is his blessing. In order for Otura to prosper, Otura has to be able to inspire people around him and through their growth and understanding, Otura will prosper as well. Ifa says those who are watching us are taking notes, make sure we are doing things the right way so that those we influence will not turn their backs on us.
